George Woskob's Simple Site

I'm a music maker and software developer. Below are some of my projects.
FlashPCB
The printed circuit board assembly service I co-founded with Tom Castner. Backed by the National Science Foundation, we're building the fastest and easiest assembly service out there.
Traps on the Path to Microservices
A talk I gave at the Lead Developer Conference in NYC in 2018 based on my experiences as a software developer and consultant. In this talk I describe many of the common pitfalls organizations experience when migrating to a microservices architecture and I explain how one can avoid these pitfalls.
Aphera Music Instrument Suite
This is an iPhone app I built to experiment with instrument design and digital audio synthesis. The app features two unique instruments that I designed. One of the challenges of this project was learning the techniques of digital audio synthesis and required dusting off that C++ I learned in college. Ultimately a successful endeavor, the app features instruments that are fun, unique, and expressive. It also includes a feature that allows users across devices to play together in time with each other. This was achieved by integrating with the Ableton Link protocol.
